Petexbatun – Aguateca Archaeological Park and Cultural Monument
The archaeological site of Aguateca report more than 200 species of birds and is approximately 15 Kms. from Sayaxche very near to Petexbatún stream, in this archaeological place temples or palaces that impress don’t exist but has magnificent trails and a geologic fail that it served as natural defense of the place.
The trip toward the place can consider it more as attractiveness through rivers surrounded by a great quantity of characteristic birds of the region and birdwatching is mainly by boat over Petexbatún lagoon, the Archeological Park where some trails between the monuments are.
